The Summer Reading Club is an 8-week program designed to encourage a love of reading in children of all ages. Please join the fun this year!

Age 0 - 6
For each Reading Log, you and your parent or guardian must complete a variety of activities. Once you have completed all of the activities on your log, bring the Reading Log back to the Hood County Library, and one of the ladies at the Front Desk will give you your 1st free book and a new Reading Log. Bring back a total of 3 Reading Logs this Summer to receive all three books, as well as be entered into a drawing for the Grand Prize for your age group!
Age 7 - 11
For each Reading Log, you must read five hundred minutes. Each green dot on the Log = 10 minutes. Once you have marked off all of the green dots (read for five hundred minutes), bring the Reading Log back to the Hood County Library, and one of the ladies at the Front Desk will give you your free book and a new Reading Log. Bring back a total of 3 Reading Logs this Summer to receive three free books, as well as be entered into a drawing for the Grand Prize for your age group!
Age 12 +
For each Reading Log, you must read five hundred minutes. Record the titles of your reading material and the time you spent reading. Once you have reached 500 minutes, bring the Reading Log back to the Hood County Library to choose between a free book or five dollar gift card. Keep reading and returning logs for more prizes. For each log, we'll enter your name into a drawing for the grand prize for your age group!
