The community is invited to Weatherford College’s annual Earth Day celebration scheduled for 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Kramer Flag Plaza of the Weatherford campus. This year’s Earth Day celebration will include a display of electric vehicles, presentations from environmental biology students, a trash art contest and the most recent finds from WC’s archeology excavation at a local log cabin and their work on excavating a mammoth skeleton from north of town. The event will also include booths from the WC science club, Phi Theta Kappa, City of Weatherford Recycling, Weatherford/Parker County Animal Shelter, Ag Extension Services, Parker County Master Gardeners, Follow Our Lead, TRIO, the Hood County Clean Air Coalition and more.
