The Granbury police have their hands full and at times need citizen assistance to safely complete their mission. We are the CPAA (Citizen Police Academy Alumni) and we assist the police at events like parades, traffic control and increase police/community rapport with this special training. March the 21st marks the next starting date of free training for 30 hours at 3-hour sessions for 10 weeks. The cost is free and a meal is provided at each session starting at 6 PM for 10 successive Thursdays. Attendees will learn about police dogs, drug issues, SWAT tactics, police weaponry and more. Upon graduation, you will have gained a lot of useful information and knowledge of police tactics; you then are allowed to join the CPAA and help us help the police in Granbury. Go to : WWW.cpaalumni.org to download an application. Send or take this to the police station in Granbury. They need to act on the application by the 2nd week in March, 2019.
