Did you know that according to the 2016 Census, 40.5 million Americans live in poverty? It may seem like just a number, but some are right in our community. We want to change that, and it starts with education. Could you and your family survive a month in poverty? Find out at our simulation on Saturday, April 28. Limited spots available! It is difficult for those of us who have enough to truly understand the situations that families living in poverty experience every day like the decisions they have to make and the frustrations that they must feel. That is why we are inviting you to walk a mile in the shoes of those facing poverty in our very own community by participating in the upcoming Community Poverty Forum & Simulation.
